I frequently visit Japan and usually spend some time in Tokyo. At some point, I noticed the Nohga Hotel when it was freshly built. The location and new rooms were the decisive factors for me to choose the hotel at that time. The visit left a very positive impression on me. By now, I have visited the Nohga Hotel for the second time, and once again, it managed to fully convince me. Not only was a nice welcome message left in the hotel room this time, but the staff was also, as always, extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The location is unbeatable, yet it is wonderfully quiet. (The music evenings with a DJ at the hotel are worth seeing, and by the way, you don't hear anything from them in the rooms.) The restaurant on the ground floor (in Japan, this corresponds to the first floor) always had a wonderful atmosphere, which you notice immediately because you have to walk past the bar briefly to get to the elevators for the hotel rooms. When I returned from a shopping trip and went to the elevator, I was often greeted very friendly and smiling by the staff, and the elevatorbutton was already pressed by them so I could go in directly without waiting. As mentioned above, the staff is exceptionally attentive and helpful. I have already recommended the hotel to a friend, who specifically praised also the delicious pizzas in the restaurant. I will definitely come back more often and I'm looking forward to it!

The staff was very polite and helpful throughout our stay. Biggest thing was that they helped fill out the paperwork for us to ship our luggage to the next location. It was seamless. They also spoke fluent English, which also made us feel at ease when we had questions. The room itself was modern and had a chill anesthetic, bed was comfy, network was pretty strong, shower pressure was perfect. We had the deluxe standard and it was just fine overall. It was your standard japanese room size, so if you go in knowing that you won't be disappointed. We had 2 carry on luggage and was only really able to open one, so gotta be strategic on that. The restaurant located on the first floor was linked to the hotel, so breakfast was served there. It was great and worth the additional cost. It is generally an Italian restaurant, but we didn't take advantage of it. However, like the hotel it had a very chill and nice vibe. Location was just a short block away from the main Akihabara street, which was cool. The closest convenient store was at less than a 3 min walk. It was also close to the stations, approximately 5-8 mins away depending. We would stay here again in the future.

Staff were excellent and many facilities avaliable even if we did not use them. The default furnishings for the room are good and large variety of additional options are avaliable at request. The hotel and associated resteraunt at the ground floor offered a number of different events throughout our stay, the atmosphere is fun and staff are friendly and helpful. The Nogha restaurant's food offerings were delicious and well presented, at the time of writing the chef's signature dish was a perfect display of fusion cusine that I would implore you to try at least once during your stay. Location is excellent, with the ginza subway line giving easy access to ueno and the surronds being on the same block and a short walk, while Akihabara station is only slightly further away, giving access to the Yamanote Line and easy access to tokyo station for coming in from either narita or haneda airport or catching a shinkansen to other cities. Both the subway and the station are within comfortable walking distance for a everyday visit. Of course, for those who like Akihabara's offerings it is a perfect location for exploring the area.

Location, location, location! If you happen to be in Akihabara for merchandise and shopping purposes as we were (short 1.5 day "layover"), it is important to have a base nearby to quickly offload your haul and get back out there for some more! That is what Nohga Hotel Akihabara will provide for you. Located a right between major shopping destinations (Don Quixote, Animate, Akiba Zone, Mandarake), the location of this hotel can't be beat for making a quick trip to hit up all the shops in Akiba. Rooms were a decent size (we had room to open both a 28" full size luggage and a smaller 22" carry on size). The entire hotel has a retro audiophile theme, which was pretty unique. The first floor is an Italian restaurant with a bar, which the staff were very nice to offer a drink voucher for when we checked in. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay at Nohga Hotel Akihabara and enjoyed its proximity to shopping.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff also provided a recommendation to a miso restaurant in an adjacent neighborhood that was stellar. The room was compact, very comfortable and clean. The hot water kettle, ceramic mugs and tea provided in the room were lovely. Literature in the room provided information about the history of the neighborhood and highlighted current neighborhood character. Everything was well designed, high quality and in good condition.
